A step allowing even to boost up inventory management process and to save a lot of time! Using  RFID technological advantages, it will not be necessary to change your accounting software. This technology will add the features and turn the whole inventory management process more effecitve

TECHNOLOGICAL COMPARISON:

RFID

Barcode

  • Direct tag visibilit is NOT necessary;
  • Multiple tag readability at the same time ;
  • Tag is resistant to harsh environments;
  • Possibility to re-write tag data ;
  • Faster read rate comparing to barcode;
  • Secure, since the written information can be encrypted or passowrd protected;
  • Up to several KB additional memory;
  • Direct tag visibility IS necessary;
  • Single tag readability at the same time;
  • Tag is NOT resistant to harsh environments;
  • Printed data on a label cannot be changed;
  • Slower read rate comparing to RFID;
  • Mažiau saugu, nes spausdinta informacija gali būti lengvai klastojama;
  • No additional memory;

How is the inventory managmenet done with RFID?

  • Every unit whcih has an inventory number is tagged with RFID tag (label) containing the inventory number written in the memory of the tag.
  • Every inventory unit's data is related to the inventory number in the database: responsible person for the specific item, location, quantity, serial number, type, value etc.
  • An employee processing the inventory management enters a room with a handheld computer and scans the inventory in a couple of seconds (gathers the data of the RFID tags placed on the inventory). The tags can be read at  0,5 up to sveral meters.
  • The software of handheld computer immediately indicates the missing inventory and the overstock of the inventory, alsothe real location of the item, responsible person etc.
  • At the end of the process the collected data is transfered to the PC using wired or wireless communication. Also the reports are edited and preprated to be transferred to the accounting system.

RFID benefits and features:

  • The inventory process can be processed faster and more effective
  • Save a lot of time
  • Avoid messy paper lists of the inventory
  • Read several items at the same time
  • It is not necessary to turn or take the items out of the desk to read the inventory
  • Communication possiblity to connect the handheld computer to the accounting system directly - the data read in real time is transferred to the accounting system
  • If necessary, visible text information or a barcode can be printed on the surface of RFID tag
